A Whole Support Team

I am so excited to share that I am now offering doula support in partnership with the amazing Meagan Thompson of About Birth!

Partnership is a model of doula practice that benefits the entire birth team. You get an extra set of eyes on your pregnancy as well as the knowledge, experience, and perspective of two doulas for the price of one. Meagan and I work together with you prenatally to explore your hopes, preferences, and fears so you are able to develop a relationship with both of us. We rotate an on-call schedule to attend births, meaning you’re far less likely to have a backup doula you don’t know.

By working in a partnership, we are able to care for ourselves in this intense heart-lead work that has a very high rate of burnout. By reducing exhaustion and sharing the load, we’re able to support more clients in their journeys and help improve birth outcomes in central Kentucky.

Birth Doula Package
$2000

  • In partnership with Meagan Thompson of About Birth

  • Two prenatal visits at your home or the B+P office (located in Lexington, off Southland Dr.)

  • Assistance in creating a birth plan

  • Access to a well-developed list of resources and information

  • Unlimited text/phone support to answer questions, offer information, and ease your mind

  • Discount on childbirth education classes

  • On-call for you 24/7 (starting at 38 weeks)

  • Continuous labor support, no matter how long labor takes (really!)

  • Casual phone photos taken during labor and birth, according to your preferences

  • Optional $500 add-on: professional birth photography by Meagan

  • Free access to TENS unit (user training provided)

  • Immediate postpartum care (up to 4 hours) to assist with lactation, bonding, and any other postpartum questions

  • Postpartum follow-up to help get you and your baby off to a great start

  • One postpartum visit, typically around 3-4 weeks after the birth of your baby, to discuss your birth experience and offer breast-/chestfeeding assistance and any recommendations or referrals

I am based in Lexington and serve the greater central Kentucky area, including Richmond, Winchester, Paris, Georgetown, Versailles, Nicholasville, Shelbyville, Harrodsburg, Berea, Mt. Sterling, Cynthiana, Covington, Florence, Louisville, Jeffersonville IN, Bardstown, London, Morehead.

I accept clients in and out of hospital settings, as long as a licensed care provider is present.

Please note that at this time, the closest birthing center is Tree of Life in Jeffersonville, IN where I do accept clients.
